Hayley Orrantia is an American actress, singer and songwriter. People are familiar with her because of her character in the role of Erica Goldberg on the popular show on television The Goldbergs.' Even though she sings but her main passion is music. Music is her first love, that she insists on; it's something she has dabbled at when she was 9 years old. At the age 12, she had taken serious enough about music to start studying professionally. The singer-songwriter began writing songs at 13 and was 14 when she released her first album of cover songs. The music hasn't budged to the past since. Orrantia has been born in the USA but she is a native of the United States with Hispanic roots. She has Hispanic roots even if she was only able to speak English when she was a kid and spent her entire life in America. To keep her heritage alive, she is learning Spanish. Also, she writes songs using the language. One of her songs was a Spanish song titled 'Hasta Verte..' Orrantia participated in The X Factor season 1's auditions in the summer of 2011. Her YouTube video was picked and she received four "yeses" which is a vote by the judges at the Seattle audition. She initially auditioned to be a part of "Hollywood Week" as a single artist. But, three female singers along with her were brought together for auditions of other songs. The group was eliminated at conclusion of the fifth performance.
